About Me
A few years ago I was looking at some course offerings at the Sedona Art Center and saw the work of Richard Drayton and couldn't believe what he could do with colored pencil, so I signed up for his course. That was the real start of my colored pencil journey. I have always had artistic leanings since childhood, but thought it wasn't a possible career option, so I just dabbled over the years until I retired and decided I had nothing to lose by putting more time and energy into seeing what I was capable of. In 2022, I saw the work of Bonny Snowden and thought her colored pencil pet portraits were next level, so I signed up for her academy, and over the course of several months learned a tremendous amount about surfaces, pencils and techniques, which brings me to where I am today.
As a lifelong animal lover, I know the depth of connection we feel with the special furry companions in our lives, and I love being able to in some way capture the spirit of your beloved furry friends in a form which you can keep forever.
